Welcome to our Club
If you enjoy taking and sharing photos and meeting other photographers, then you might enjoy becoming a member of the Sidney Camera Club.
As a club, we enjoy location shoots and bi-monthly meetings where we share our images and have an opportunity to learn from knowledgeable speakers and each other. We have monthly presentations on topics such as travel, wildlife, tabletop, astral, food, lighting, and lifestyle photography. There are also monthly themed competitions, as well as a number of "Special Competitions" throughout the year.
Whether beginner or advanced skilled photographer, we strive to provide opportunities to improve your photographic expertise. We encourage one another to explore new learning opportunities through hands-on assignments, competitions and group location shoots.
In-person meetings are held at the Mary Winspear Center in Sidney. They are at 7 pm on the third Thursday of each month, except December, June, July and August. Our club year begins with an in-person meeting on the first Thursday of September. You can find us in Room 4.
Zoom meetings (members only) are held on the first Thursday of every month except September, July and August.
Location shoots with social lunches are held each month. We are always looking for ideas from our members for photo opportunities.
Potential new members are welcome to come and check us out at our in-person meetings with no obligation or fees for your initial two visits.
